In order to ensure your public service announcement is advertised, WIZS has made a policy change. We will no longer accept hand written submissions. This change will ensure the on-air personalities will be able to read your announcement.

 

If your organization has an upcoming event, you may now submit your information on the form below, we ask that your submission be email at least 2 weeks prior to the event in order to serve you better.  WIZS will be happy to post your event below and announce it on air.

Public Service Announcements to our site.

Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Drewry will be observing

Homecoming and Revival Services. Homecoming will be observed

on August 1st at 11am. Revival will be observed August 2nd - 6th

at 7:30pm nightly. Pastor Terry Taylor will be the guest speaker.

The public is invited to attend.

Henderson - Vance Crime Stoppers Fish Plate Sale will be held

on Monday August 2nd from 4pm until 7pm at 220 Seafood

Restaurant. Plate includes trout, french fries, cole slaw and

hushpuppies. Drink available with dine-in only. Cost is $6.00

Bible Conference with Dr. Kenneth Benson will begin August 1st

through August 18th at the South Henderson Pentecostal

Holiness Church, 905 Americal Rd. Services on Sunday, Aug. 1st

will be at 8:30am, 11am and 6pm. Mon-Wed. services will be

at 10am and 7pm.

The meeting of American Legion Post #60 will be held on

August 6th. All members are encouraged to attend.

Henderson/Vance Night Out Against Crime will be held August

7th from 5pm until 8pm at the Henderson Police Dept. on

Breckenridge St. Rain date is August 8th. There will be FREE

t-shirts and hot dogs. If your agency or business would like to

Celebrate 30 years of serving the community and play golf with

the Henderson Family YMCA at Henderson Country Club on

Tuesday, August 10th. Shotgun start at 1:00pm, $162.50 for

individuals or $650 for team of four. Proceeds received from the

9th Annual tournament will be used to purchase scoreboards

and volleyball equipment. If you cannot join the golf game but

would still like to support the Henderson Family YMCA and

its programs we encourage you to make a tax-deductible

Family Fun Day and Ducky Derby will be held on Sept. 25th

from 10am until 3pm on Breckenridge and Garnett Streets

in Downtown Henderson. The event is free to the public.

Ducks for Derby are $5 each, 6 quack for $25. Flock of 25 ducks

are $100. 1st prize for Ducky Derby is $1,000, 2nd prize is

The Angel Food Ministries program is now available through

Spring Street Missionary Baptist Church in Henderson. A new

menu is available each month, choose what you would like and

place your order by the deadline. Pay when you order. The following

Saturday, go to the church “Fellowship Hall” to pick up your order.

Cotton Memorial Presbyterian Church invites you to Breakfast

The Kerr Lake Traumatic Brain Injury Support Group meets

the second Tuesday of every month at 6pm-7pm in the Rehab

Center Conference Room at Maria Parham. Those who have

suffered from brain injury and their caregivers are welcome

the brave men and women who are returning home from combat

with catastrophic injuries. Regardless of your position on the war,
